—NOTICE—
Prescribed Burn Planned for November
From the Coeur d’Alene Press:
A prescribed burn on Tubbs Hill is planned for some time during the first half of November.
Piles of cut vegetation from summer pruning projects will be burned “when weather conditions are favorable,” the city said. Depending on weather patterns, the prescribed burn could be delayed until the latter half of the month or early December.
Tubbs Hill will be closed to the public for a minimum of two days once burning gets underway. The city will give additional notice once the burn is scheduled.
The city asks that the public not call 911 if they see smoke “unless you are sure it is not related to the prescribed pile burning.”
We will update this page with information as we receive it.
Tubbs Hill is a special and unique place. We invite you to help keep it that way.
